Tibetans have a wide variety of methods to disclose the inauspicious years in your life. I must admit that it was somewhat disheartening when I sat down one day and did all the calculations and then integrated them into a single list of ‘bad’ years. There were very, very few good years left. But that is the way it is.

Below are a number of the most well-known of the so called ‘portents.’ Chief among them is Lo-Khak, the most important of the critical year warnings, Dun-Zur is second and so on, in order of difficulty.
